PROSPEROUS FUTURES? CONTESTED KNOWLEDGE FOR SUSTAINABLE REGIONS
The Pacific Regional Science Conference Organisation (PRSCO) is one of the four supra-regional associations of RSAI (Regional Science Association International) which is founded in 1954. This year, Australia New Zealand Regional Science Association International (ANZRSAI) jointly with PRSCO is organising 29th PRSCO Conference at RMIT University, Melbourne. PRSCO welcomes proposals for contributed papers, for themed panels, or for special sessions, on any topic related to regions.
2025 Conference
The 2025 ANZRSAI Conference was convened jointly with the Regional Studies Association (RSA). The event was hosted by the University of Waikato on 1-2 December 2025. The theme of the conference was Population change and regional resilience. It was an in-person conference.

2024 Conference
The 2024 ANZRSAI Conference was convened jointly with the Regional Studies Association (RSA). The event will be hosted by the Faculty of Business, Government and Law at University of Canberra on 2-3 December 2024. The theme of the conference is Inclusive Regional Development. 2023 Conference
The 2023 ANZRSAI Conference was hold jointly with the Regional Studies Association (RSA), The event was hosted by the European Union Centre at RMIT on 26-28 November 2023. The theme of the conference is GLOBAL CRISES AND REGIONAL FUTURES. The Conference final programme and book of abstract is available to be downloaded here.
2022 Conference
The 2022 ANZRSAI Conference was hosted by Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga over two days in 1-2 December. The theme of the conference was DATA SCIENCE IN REGIONAL POLICY: HOUSING AND WORKFORCE DYNAMIC. The Conference final programme and book of abstract is available to be downloaded here.
2021 Conference
The 2021 ANZRSAI Conference was held at RMIT University in Melbourne, 6-7 December. The theme was Risk! The Challenge of Managing Risks to Regional Futures. A copy of the conference programme is available here.
2020 Conference
The 2020 ANZRSAI Conference was cancelled as part of the COVID-19 virus public health response.
2019 Conference
The 2019 ANZRSAI Conference was held in Cairns, December 4th-6th, with a theme of Working Together to Grow: Innovations and Disruptions in Regional Development. The Refereed Proceedings for the conference are now available.
